Agreement
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Epoc mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by Epoc Labs (“Epoc,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Epoc. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
The Service
Epoc helps you track food intake, workouts, and estimated energy expenditure. Calorie, macro, and workout calculations are estimates based on the information you provide and published metabolic models. Epoc is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional healthcare, nutrition, or training guidance.
You are responsible for deciding whether a goal, calorie target, workout, or nutrition change is appropriate for you. Consult a qualified professional before making changes that could affect a medical condition, pregnancy, disordered eating history, injury, medication, or other health concern.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You can delete your account inside the Epoc app. Deletion removes your Epoc profile, logs, body check-ins, and associated account record from our active systems, subject to limited retention described in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Upload malicious code or interfere with other users’ access to the Service.
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person or entity.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content, is owned by Epoc Labs or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Epoc disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any results will meet your goals.
Food database values, barcode matches, BMR, calorie targets, EPOC estimates, and maintenance estimates may be incomplete or inaccurate. You should verify critical nutrition information against product labels or other trusted sources.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Epoc Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe termination is necessary to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
Changes
We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice within the app or on this site. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
